STW Home Remodeling started as a tile-setting business in Harrisonburg, and tile and flooring installation is still the core of what we do. We set ceramic, porcelain, marble, and natural-stone tile for floors, showers, backsplashes, and patios — and we install flooring for whole rooms, from a single bathroom to an open main level.
A floor is the largest flat surface in a room, so every mistake shows. We flatten the substrate, waterproof what needs it, and keep the grout lines straight and the tile lippage-free from one wall to the other. That prep is the difference between a floor that looks sharp on install day and one that still looks sharp a decade later.
Anyone can set a tile in the middle of a room. The job is won or lost where the tile meets the trim, the transition, and the wall.

Most tile and flooring failures start underneath — a substrate that isn't flat, a missing membrane, a transition that was rushed. We do that unglamorous prep first, every time, because it's what keeps a floor from cracking, lifting, or growing crooked grout lines down the road.
Daniel has laid tile for more than twenty years and handles the detail work himself — the transitions, the thresholds, the cuts around a drain or a doorway. That's the part a rushed installer gets wrong and the part we slow down for.
